SFR Multiplayer Service
BeTomorrow has developed a unique multiplayer service on MIDP terminals (Java).
This service has been in existence since 2003 with the first Orange 3G phones. It was bought by Alcatel and Orange when 3G was first launched in France. The service has been used by various different operators: Vimpelcom, Orange, TMN, Globacom, Telekom Malaysia…
All the games have real time exchanges, some chat, a score sharing system and a mini-messaging system (mailbox). All of this on several hundred Java terminals.
Between 2006 and 2010, SFR handed management of its entire real time multiplayer service to BeTomorrow: developing games, animation, setting up and running the multiplayer platform. The system included direct debit subscription for customer accounts.
One of the key games in the package: Worms Multiplayer
